Guidance completed on behalf of The National Archives

In May 2013 Janice completed the production of guidance on behalf of The National Archives. The guidance was designed for archive services considering moving towards a split-site service, where the majority of the collection was stored separately from the access point. The guidance will be published on The National Archives website in Summer 2013.

Activity Plan for Huddersfield University Archives completed

The team completed the Heritage Lottery Activity Plan with Huddersfield University in May 2013. The process involved examining audience research, consultation with potential audiences and creating a 3 year engagement and participation programme. Accompanied by the creation of a new exploration space, storage and resource enhancement, this project aims to increase use of the archive by the general public.

Archive Service Accreditation Standard and Scheme completed

April 2013 saw the completion by the team of a 3 year project to scope, co-create and pilot a standard and scheme for Archive Services across the UK. This will become the main standard against which archive services will not only be assessed but will support archive services in their ongoing development.

Janice Tullock Associates have developed and advised this project since its infancy and have an in depth knowledge of the requirements of standard and application process. We are developing tools to assist clients that wish to become an accredited archive service. Contact us for further details.

Funding Success for Clients

The National Disability Arts Collection and Archive has received a Stage 1 pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund which will enable them to develop their bid for a £962,000 project. Janice Tullock Associates were involved at the earliest stage in developing a feasibility study for the collection.
